CertificationThe latest edition of the document confirms the consistency of the Materiality Matrix and presents improvements in governance
TCP, the company managing the Paranaguá Container Terminal, has just released the latest edition of its Sustainability Report, covering the year 2025. Prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, the document consolidates the company’s main environmental, social, and governance (ESG) results and marks a new cycle of strategic planning.
The main highlight of this edition is the update of the Materiality Matrix, a process that confirmed the consistency of the sustainability priorities defined by the company in 2022 and their alignment with current challenges in the port sector. The matrix review involved benchmarking with industry peers, interviews with strategic leaders from various departments within TCP, and consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
Based on this process, the company reassessed the themes considered priorities for its sustainability strategy. Only three topics were removed from the matrix — Indirect Economic Impacts, Supplier Environmental Assessment, and Supplier Social Assessment — reinforcing that the guidelines established three years ago remain aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
“The update of the Materiality Matrix showed that the priorities defined by TCP continue to reflect both our business challenges and the expectations of our stakeholders. This demonstrates that we have built a solid sustainability strategy, capable of guiding our long-term decisions with responsibility, transparency, and a focus on value creation,” states Kayo Zaiats, Environment Superintendent at TCP.
In addition to updating the ESG strategy, the 2025 Sustainability Report records other major milestones for the company. Among them is achieving the ISO 50001 certification, making TCP the first Brazilian port terminal certified under the international standard for efficient energy management.
The document also details the evolution of the company’s corporate governance, highlighting internal restructuring and updates to leadership roles. The report includes the first institutional message signed by CEO Jacky Song, who emphasizes how TCP consolidates its global competitiveness by combining logistical efficiency, robust governance, and energy transition. The executive points out strategic investments in railway expansion, fleet electrification, environmental certifications, and social projects that generate economic value with a positive local impact.
Furthermore, the publication gathers indicators related to the company’s environmental, social, and economic performance, presenting initiatives focused on energy efficiency, waste management, environmental monitoring, biodiversity preservation, community relations, occupational health and safety, diversity, innovation, and employee development, alongside the governance and integrity actions that guide the company’s operations.
“The Sustainability Report is a tool for transparency and accountability, but it is also a management instrument. It allows us to track the evolution of our commitments and shows how environmental, social, and governance aspects are embedded in TCP’s strategic decisions and in the way we drive the Terminal’s growth,” adds Zaiats.
The 2025 Sustainability Report is available on TCP’s website, under the “Sustainability” tab, and can be accessed by employees, clients, suppliers, investors, the community, and other stakeholders.
