Several sectors of the terminal have opportunities available, especially for people with disabilities.

TCP (the company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal) is growing and expanding its staff, especially in the operational sector. The expectation is to close 2023 with 285 new job openings filled. TCP currently has more than 1.400 employees and is the largest employer on the Paraná coast.

The main reason for the expansion of vacancies was the investment of 370 million reais, announced in 2022, for infrastructure and equipment in the terminal. Among them is the expansion of the reefer patio and the purchase of 11 RTG-type cranes.

The manager of human resources and quality, Washington Bohnn, points out that “to meet the operational and logistical demand, we are expanding the staff and seeking to offer more opportunities for parnanguaras, especially people with disabilities (PCD).

TCP invested in accessibility with the creation of access ramps, priority parking spaces, adapted bathrooms for wheelchair users, elevators, adapted digital points, among others. Bohnn explains that “the goal is to expand the inclusion of the teams and offer more opportunities to PCD professionals. Moreover, hiring more employees generates several benefits for Paranaguá, such as qualified labor, increased flow of services, market movement, and attraction of new investments to the city”.

Internship opportunities

Those who are entering the job market can also apply for the apprentice position and for the Internship Program, which, for 10 years, has opened doors for young people in the professional environment and encouraged the development of new leaders. “Our goal is to stimulate the growth of young people in the company and promote great professionals,” Bohnn reinforces.

Those interested can apply on the TCP website, under the careers tab.
