Our Story

Created in 1998, TCP is the company was created from a consortium of national and international companies to manage the Paranaguá Container Terminal and the logistics operations company TCP Log. The company was acquired after winning the bid promoted by the Paraná government in 1996, in accordance with the Federal Port Modernization Law.

Considered one of the main Brazilian terminals, TCP is located in a protected bay, capable of receiving the largest ships that trade internationally in Latin America, offering exporters and importers a modern and well-sized infrastructure to move cargo with speed, safety and security. and the best operating costs.

With an area of ??influence covering the states of Paraná, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina, the Paranaguá Container Terminal is strategically located in a region served by several highways, besides being the only terminal. from the southern region of Brazil that has direct rail connection in the courtyard itself.

Since March 2018, TCP has been part of the China Merchants Port Holding Company (CMPort) portfolio, China’s largest and most competitive public port developer, investor and operator. Currently, the company’s operations and investments extend to coastal areas in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Dailian, Zhangzhou, Zhanjiang and Shantou. The company has also been expanding its presence in South Asia, Africa, the Mediterranean and Australia.

Finally, in 2019, TCP completed its expansion works, which consumed more than R $ 600 million, being considered the largest work in the Brazilian port sector in recent years. With the works, the Terminal’s quay now has 1,099 meters of extension and 50 meters of width, retroarea of ??about 500 thousand m2, besides having its movement capacity expanded to 2.5 million TEUs / year.
