TCP is the company that manages the Container Terminal in Paranaguá – the largest container terminal in South America – and TCP Log, company which acts as an integrated logistics platform by providing one-stop-solution to importers and exporters.
Responsible for the largest investment in the Brazilian port sector, where it is invested more than R$600 million to expand the capacity of the terminal, from 1.5 million TEUs/Year to 2.5 million TEU/year, TCP is preparing to meet the demand of Brazilian market for the next 30 years.
Since March 2018, TCP has been part of the China Merchants Port Holding Company (CMPort) portfolio, China’s largest and most competitive public port developer, investor and operator. Currently, the company’s operations and investments extend to coastal areas in Hong Kong,
Taiwan, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Dailian, Zhangzhou, Zhanjiang, and Shantou. The company has also been expanding to South Asian, Mediterranean and South America.
In March 2020, CMPort’s global port portfolio worked in 6 continents, 26 countries and regions, and 50 ports. In 2019 CMPort handled more than 110 million TEUs.
