With its own 102-square-meter stand, TCP presented its 2022 results as well as the terminal’s news for this year
TCP, the company that manages the Paranaguá container terminal, participated for the 21st time in Intermodal South America, held between February 28 and March 2, in São Paulo-SP. With a 102 square meter stand, the company presented to visitors the various services provided by the terminal, as well as the company’s advances in recent years through continuous investments in the terminal’s infrastructure.
Among the figures featured at the event were: the increase in operational productivity, which in 2022 reached the figure of 202 movements per hour and established a historic record for TCP vessel operational efficiency (GVR); the inaugural call of the M/V Theodor from Poseidon Container Lines docked at TCP, adding a new route to the Caribbean; the conclusion of the Reefer yard expansion by the end of 2023, increasing the number of reefer plugs to 5.126 – the largest in the country; in addition, the terminal also has an import warehouse with storage of 9,000 pallets in 12,000 square meters, providing customers with logistics options such as LCL deconsolidation and crossdocking.
“Another great differential of TCP is the direct access of the container railroad at the terminal, which facilitates logistics, bringing agility and cost reduction. In 2022, the railroad handled a total container volume of 189,014 TEUs, a 38% growth over the previous year,” says James Cao, CEO of TCP.
Along with the company’s CEO, TCP’s commercial director, Jan Zhang, and representatives of the commercial, operations, purchasing, IT and administrative areas were present at the event. Intermodal South America is the largest logistics fair in South America, and this year attracted over 500 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors during the 3-day event.
