With a hiring rate of 73%, the Terminal offers opportunities in various sectors

From February 19 to April 1, university students can apply for the 2024 Internship Program at the Paranaguá Container Terminal (TCP). With a current staff of 23 trainees, the Terminal offers opportunities in various sectors such as commercial, operations, IT, controllership, HR, flow management, maintenance, occupational health and safety, import warehouse, among others.

The workload of the internship program is 6 hours a day and there are vacancies available for Paranaguá and Curitiba. Candidates who apply for the program go through the stages of CV analysis, a presentation panel for managers, selection and admission. As well as providing professional growth, Terminal is always offering training for trainees’ development.

The human resources and quality manager, Washington Renan Bohnn, highlights the success of the program, which has been running for 11 years. “By the end of 2023, our retention rate had reached 73%, the result of the dedication of our trainees and the entire Terminal team. We are always committed to promoting the development of our staff at all stages of their careers, encouraging professional growth with TCP,” he says.

Since the start of the program, more than 20 trainees have reached leadership positions at the Terminal, such as supervisors, coordinators, managers and superintendents. TCP’s current institutional supervisor, Octavio Elliot, started his internship in April 2019 and, in less than a year and a half, had been hired. “At TCP, I had the opportunity to learn both the technical side of foreign trade and leadership skills through courses and training offered internally. The internship also gave me valuable insights into my career and helped me to better define my professional goals,” she says.

Emanuelle Samardan Ferreira joined Terminal in April 2022 as a young apprentice; in February 2023, as an administration student, she passed the internship selection process and now works in the human resources area. “This is my first opportunity and I’m really enjoying my area. The best part is applying what I learn at university at work,” she says.
